ANCORA GROUP CONQUERS CENTRAL AMERICA
The Sassuolo-based group secures another two major orders, one from Ceramica Lamosa in Mexico and the other from Ceramica Corona in Colombia
Won over by Ancora Group’s decades of experience in the design and production of plant and machinery for end-of-line processing, another two major Central American ceramic producers have chosen the Sassuolo-based group’s systems for their production facilities.
Lamosa, one of the largest Mexican ceramic tile producers, has purchased a polishing and lapping line for large production runs from Ancora, complete with roughing machine and the final Hi Coat Coating System. The line will come on stream in September. The plant was entirely designed and built in the Ancora facility in Sassuolo and includes all the necessary connections for future installation of a score-and-snap machine for 150 mm sub-sizes.
The Colombian company Ceramica Corona chose a complete lapping line, including a polishing machine, two squaring machines, a dryer and a system for final protective treatment for porcelain tile.
“These major orders not only provide further confirmation of Ancora Group’s leadership role in designing and building plant and machinery for end-of-line processing at an international level but also consolidate our presence in Central and South American markets and send out a positive message about the sector’s eagerly-awaited economic recovery,” commented the Group’s Managing Director Fabio Corradini.
